Hi folks,
I've got the very last of the 2019 model year Arteon Elegance here in the UK and I've seen that with the 2020 model year, Wireless Car-Net App Connect is now standard on the same car (the stereo unit appears to look the same).
I'm wondering if anyone knows if the wireless app connect be added/updated to my car at my local VW showroom? I'm wanting to have wireless Android Auto and this would enable it if it's possible.
Any help is much appreciated folks!

I have the new 2020 system. Wireless Carplay is available but not wireless Android Auto from what I can tell.

Hi ,

I have the 2018 model year and it doesn’t support Wireless CarPlay, so I ordered a unit online that helps achieve that as a workaround.

Cost was approximately £100 and works great, sometimes doesn’t connect and requires to unplug the device and plug in again (which is easy because it’s plugged into the USB port next to the driver).

Just Google “Wireless CarPlay adapter for Volkswagen with original CarPlay” and you should get a few results as there are a number of models available from various suppliers. AliExpress also has a few, not sure how good they are though.
