Volkswagen Arteon vs. BMW 5 Series In A Drag Race

Drag races don't really intereste me much mainly because of how they're filmed. Then we have this video of a Volkswagen Arteon 2.0 AT R-Line going against BMW F10 3.0i Fpv and it's all filmed by drone. This gives me a clearer image of just how much faster the Arteon is.

Great video, thanks for sharing. I'd love to see it from the same height but on the opposite side of the drag track, so cars come on you.

Speaking of Arteon's drag potential, I've seen a lot of different Arteon's videos, but this one impressed me the most. 308 kmph on the Autobahn... 308 CARL!!!

Was wondering how they increased the top speed so much on that Arteon when the manufacturer listed number was 155 mph. They had to do a conversion and give the engine a huge 200 hp boost. I'm surprised there isn't more steering wheel oscillation at those speeds.
Another video of this Volkswagen Arteon 2.0 TSI (480 PS) HGP-Turbo. I don't know what they have done to it, but it's extremely powerful.

480 hp on an Arteon? They don't list the technical changes in the video's description so we can only guess as to what they've done aside from the usual tune and exhaust mods. I think they mentioned it being the same as what they've done to a Golf, so maybe an engine conversion.
From what I read in another article these guys dropped a new and bigger turbo in it along with some supportive air and fuel parts to further increase output. What helps is that this engine has been used in other VW products, development wasn't that hard for them.
With that much of a power increase, I can only imagine the strain it puts on the components thus shortening the vehicle's lifespan.

If its built right and the person driving it day in and day out respects what that power can do and drives it accordingly then it won't be that bad. You can see this in so many examples regardless of how much or how little they have done to increase power. In this case I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
