Time for my induction?

Now having aquainted myself and driven the Arteon for the past 3 months I thought I had better show my interest to the forum. I chose the 190PS TSi model as I felt it to be a good compromise and ticked most of my boxes. I am overall happy with the model but would have liked to have seen slightly better fuel consumpion and cannot find much information on the difference in engine specs. between the 190ps and 280ps models. I was wishfully hoping, before taking delivery, that other the the 4motion drive, for just the ECU mapping to be different between the models, but now assume the turbo on the 280ps to be larger. It would be good, in future, to exchange any performance/remapping info with other members.

I've uploaded a photo of my car. Just some new rims to date.

Best wishes

Bob

Glad to have a new member on the forum.

Are you tracking your gas mileage on a tracking APP like Fuelly? If not, it might be a good way to see the numbers for yourself and the greater community here and abroad.

An even easier way to track mpg is on the VW Car Net App. Takes the info straight from the car.
Just registered on car net, and found the fuel consumption from when we got the car. Average is 8.1 litre pr 100 km (280 hp tsi). Driving has been a good mix of highways and city driving. Not too bad for such a car and engine, and aproximately what we had expected.
I think fuelly is a good site as well, though the numbers will need to be inserted by yourself.
As for mapping, I assume it's just a matter of time until someone comes out with such a tune.

So far I have covered just under 3000 miles, which include a few long range journeys of 300-500 miles and daily pottering around town etc. Using the onboard display I am averaging just over 37mpg. since new. Best average mpg was 53mpg  whilst in 'Driving Miss Daisy' mode :surprise: on a 230 mile all motorway/ dual carriage journey. Not up to the manufacturers claim...but it's what I had expected from the 'Dieselgate' guys!:plain:
