I bet its why automakers are moving towards the subscription model because all this increased complexity will continue to discourage actual purchases.I leased the car for two years from VW in Hamptead, but have been going to VW Kings Lynn for help.... another thing to add, the car did the gearbox neutral thing again today so I'm going to contact VW Hampstead and try and get a replacement vehicle, which they said that have done in the past. But annoyed because the 190 tsi isn't available yet due to WTLP so will have to wait ages and have a faulty car whilst it's being built, however this would allow me to add a Panoramic roof and electric boot
Hi, I have same problem with the Bonnet too. My wipers do not work especailly when its been raining but when I drive away they work, but then I get the Red Bonnet Open notifiation telling me the Bonnet is open. I too also had the Bonnet Open light come on when going of a speed bump very slowly. I am having this investigated as if the wipers dont work when on a motorway I cant stop and open and close the bonnet to clear the problem..VW do not have an answer as yet. They try to tell you they are not aware of an issue but its clear there is a problem.I’ve got a 190ps Tsi r line with dark Rosario wheels, DCC and keyless got it end of July and nothing but problems.
1st problem: 1 st week, bonnet kept popping up whenever I drove over a small bump
2nd problem: when going from gear 1 to 2, 5 times the car has jolted and no power for 2 seconds and where it says what’s gear it went in, went blank
3rd problem: rear window takes 4 times the button press to demist
4th problem: drivers door bolt cane loose and made very pound sound when opening or closing
5th Problem: keyless entry decided not to work for a week then suddenly started working again
6th Problem: I’ve done 13500 miles in 6 months and the other day car wouldn’t start as battery was flat, left it 5 mins and started
For the 6 months of owning, has been in to VW for three weeks in total and all they’ve done is a software update, and all that’s fixed is the rear window demist, and they got new bonnet latch, and tightened door bolt, but gear box problem still happens and keyless is still intermittent, and don’t get me started on how appalling VW replacement vehicle service is.
