Does anyone else have issues with the active sign assist system showing the wrong speed on dual carriageways i.e. 60 rather than 70?

Not that I've noticed, but then I don't look all the time. Next time I go out any distance I'll check.
Heard similar issues reported by MK7 owners and odds are browsing the forums those owner are on might reveal some paths we can take.
I get false "Dynamic Road Sign Recognition Excessive Speed" alerts several times a day and on every type of road (30, 40, 50, 60 & 70mph roads).

I recorded whether these false alerts were a function of NAV maps updates, User's Data Network live, or Front Camera seeing road signs and truck rear speed limit plates. By studying dash cam recordings I eventually took the complaint to my VW Dealer. The facts I presented were:-

1. Maps have been updated twice (latest one in April 2019) - not one false alarm has been rectified!
2 Dash cam footage on 70 mph dual carriage ways show that there are no laybys, no 60 mph signs on road, no 60 mph flyover/flyunder road crossings, no HGV vehicles present.
3. Results were not affected by data connection being live or not.
4. As a result of the above the errors have to be in the map database itself, which VW purchase from a 3rd party on a budget basis for selective countries. It is highly likely that GB maps are not be updated in the download package.

The dealer confirmed there is nothing they could do and (annoyingly) said if they reported it to VW they would have to take the car back for a week or so investigative dialogues with Germany.

This can be really annoying to passengers and driver alike. And dangerous when the the brakes are slammed on with drivers up your rear end. PATHETIC VW

I have desabled the Dynamic Road Sign Recognition Alerts system on my vehicle and use a TomTom satnav instead of the VW Nav system.

The TomTom gives me 100% accurate road speed information, live traffic information, speed camera notifications, excess speed alerts, etc, all without requiring a user data service.

Yes this annoying, dual carriage ways it thinks should be 60 and not 70, sudden speed drops because it thinks there is a roundabout when there isn't or a different speed to what the road actually is. I find it is managable by being ready to manually override the speed to the actual speed, but it is frustraiting. I keep meaning to look to see if you can adjust the settings to make it less sensitive to speed changes or something.

As I've posted against another thread this seems to be an issue with the latest sat nav data settings. Re-installing the data I originally had in my 2017 Arteon has set dual carriageways back to 70
