Hi All

Nice to see a forum specifically for the Arteon. I put an order down for a TSI 190 at the beginning of May with quite a few options. Standard Urano Grey colour.

Been waiting for updates and only yesterday on the VW website my order moved from "Processing your order" to "With the Factory" - despite my dealer telling me it was due to be built in week 30 (w/c 23rd July). The app still says Processing Order too - so really confused, and dealer not great at communicating back to my queries.

Will have a read around the forum this evening but keen to understand lead times from "With the factory" for each stage and whether I'll actually get my car at the beginning of September or not. Got the Dynaudio as an option too so keen to read what you guys think of it (I currently have B&O in my A3 which I love). Finally just seeing details of the 190 petrol engine no longer being in production so keen to read up on that - I went for the petrol as the dealer said the lead time for the 190 TDI with DSG was 33 weeks due to the new testing regulations. Perhaps they'll give me the 280 version instead for the same price!

Hi Steve, welcome to the forum!

The app in my opinion was not the most reliable in terms of tracking so it is to be taken lightly. A perfect example of this is, I've just logged into this app and it still says Step 7: "Nearly There, your car is in the final stage of its journey to your retailer" when the car was delivered to me 7 months ago. I know you're only at step 2 of 7 but it is possible you may get the car early September, mine afterall arrived a month early!

Having heard a colleagues dynoaudio system in his mk7 Golf R, it was better in every way than the standard VW Audio system in mine, but to be honest I was happy as the standard VW audio in mine is still 10x better than the standard audio system in my previous car (65 plate BMW M135i)...

Very curious as to where you have read about the 190PS being discontinued? I have this engine myself.

Hi Stevo and welcome. I've also ordered pretty much the same vehicle as you, just a couple of weeks ago. I'm being told January, and I'm half expecting that to slip, given all the shenanigans with WLTP.

I don't think that's accurate about the TSI 190 being discontinued...I actually ordered a 1.5TSI 150 manual at first and that has been stopped (for the UK market) but was able to order the 2.0TSI 190 DSG instead. The TDI 190 2WD is being discontinued however. The details can be found here (https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/assets/common/pdf/pricelists/arteon-pricelist.pdf) if you look at the yellowed-out models on page 3. They are described as only orderable from stock.
Had an email from the dealer yesterday.....

The car I ordered on May 2nd which WAS due to be delivered early - mid September, will now LIKELY be delivered end of October.

They spoke to VW and there are a number of cars being delayed due to the new WLTP emission tests apparently.

Bummer.
