I understand we have 4 designated jack points behind or infront of each wheel. My questions is where would we then place the jack stand.

Say i want to put the front end on jack stands for say an oil change?

It seems to me that this is intuitive. I never had any problems with choosing a place for the jack since I always knew about the places of the center of mass and the strong places of the frame. Sometimes there were very weak jacks in our workshop. Once the car fell, as the jack could not stand even three tons. I advise you to choose jacks and compare them with the list from Toolschief, as you never know what might have happened to your jack in production. Even the smallest mistake can lead to serious problems when working with a large mass. Therefore, it is better not to save money on the jack and buy an expensive and high-quality model right away.
