Hi New Owner from London

Hello to All,

My name is Sohail from sunny London in the UK.. I'll be collecting my new (to me) Arteon over the weekend 2.0 tsi r-line (y). I'm looking forward to the ownership and it will be my first VW car or any VAG for that matter.

Anyone have any tips/tricks upgrades that I could look into? Am planning to purchase an OBD11 Pro in the near future and do some mods.

Hi Sohail

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the club.

I think the best Apps on OBD11 are " Overtaking right Prevention Off " app and the "Soundaktor Off " app. Also the "Scandinavian DRL" is a good safety idea.
I do a scan every month or so and print a data log.

Since you don't know the history of your car go the VW website and check the latest map update info and also go the vin checker and see if your car has any outstanding recalls or service campaigns.

As far as upgrades go I installed a Stage One Tune which made a big difference . I don't know if it's any faster but it is much more responsive . Especially for overtaking on the highway.

Have fun

Phil

Thank's for the advice Phil. Can I ask regarding OBD11.. I'm looking at purchasing the pro version, is it better to buy credits or purchase the Ultimate Pack which gives a year subscription for unlimited apps. I'm not too sure how much each app costs to activate and deactive.

Thanks

I can't remember how many credits were supplied originally but I have purchased about $20 more. I've installed about 10 altogether.
A lot of the apps you won't want or need . In fact some of the apps are for things that are already standard on the R-Line.
The following apps cost 100 credits everything else is 10 credits to activate and deactivate.
Video in Motion
Video in Motion MIB3 ON
Trailer Assist
Mirrorlink In Motion
Traffic Sign Recognition
High Beam Assist

Regards.........Phil
