Hi all, I’m so excited to have ordered my Termaric 190ps petrol with the DSG.
Also added the 20mm lowered DCC with the black 20” rims. The trick diff, area view, dynaudio, heated screen and the tyre pressure monitor.
Not so excited about the 3+ months wait but is going to be so worth it.
Anyway looking forward to being a member of this forum.

Welcome to the forum! That's going to be a pretty well equipped Arteon once it arrives.
What are you driving in the meantime?
Hi, thanks for the reply. I’ve got a 2014 CC at the moment. 150ps diesel and manual.
Congrats on the order and welcome to the forum! Should be quite the upgrade from your current Passat CC. Has VW provided any sort of way for you to track the progress of your build?
I have the usual app to track my order but it’s still on “processing my order” however it turns out that wasn’t a bad thing. I spotted the dealer was offering a £5500 deposit contribution which was £2500 over the VW one. So i gave them a call and got that deal😊. I then thought I’d see if I could add another extra or 2. Turns out I could so got heated rear seats with 3 zone climate in the back plus added 4 years warrenty.
Happy days.

Congrats on a good combination (190ps TSI DSG in Turmeric) As per my spec....but without all the extras which you managed to squeeze out of the sales guy for peanuts :surprise::grin:

Golly:surprise: VW must be finding it difficult to fill their order books. I don't understand it? I get admiring looks and comments so much with this car.:plain:Surely Clarkson's review couldn't have put off buyers? After all who bothers with him anymore!
VW are pushing the Arteon. I got a brilliant deal on my ex-demo but lease prices are very cheap. Surprising as wait for build is a long time, especially on oil burners.

Re changing orders you can usually change until it goes to a confirmed build date.

Just searching for a reason why there is such a wait and found this. Anyone been recalled for this issue?
Just abit if an update for you guys. Ordered late April with the hope of a September delivery. Had a call from the sales manager yesterday and he said it’s more likely to be after Christmas now..........
urgh.

I ordered 2.0 TSI R-Line DSG on May 2nd expecting September, but was told yesterday more likely the end of October.

Rubbish.

After Christmas is awful - hope they come in earlier.
Ordered a lease (1.5 R-Line standard spec) last week and was quoted March by the salesman. I pointed out that other lease companies were quoting January delivery times and he said it was impossible and that they were misleading customers.

He is right, for some reason the factory has really bogged down. I ordered an the 240 TDI with almost all the options in May and the only now told me that they can guarantee delivery in second week of January. i tried a few more dealerships and the are quoting 25 weeks lead time. The lease company are bullshitting everybody to attract customers.

According to the latest price list, only the 150ps and 190ps diesels are WLTP approved so far, not the 240 diesel or any of the petrol models. So until that is sorted, they probably can't schedule production. I ordered (2.0TSI) in July and was quoted January....nobody has confirmed anything yet in terms of build week and given everything I hear I don't expect to see a car until March at best. Seriously considering cancelling
For me too. Late January order, 26 December quoted but with no change in the order status and having seen that petrol versions are not yet type approved I reached the same conclusion. Not expecting much before March and just the MX-5 to keep me going. Good fun but cargo is limited so I've converted it into an estate - boot rack back on.
That last post should have said late July order in case you're wondering.
On-line chat and email exchange with the dealer today. All bar TSI 190 and BiTDI 240 WLTP type approved in the 26 November price list - https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/order-a-brochure. On-line chat said " this model will be open for build again towards the end of January". This was new ti the dealer (in Scotland) who followed it up and gleaned "The car will not start getting a build slot until the 17th January. There is a model year change happening right now from 2018 to 2019. The arteon is under going this which means the order bank wont open until January the 17th." Adding "So the long and short of it is I wont have a definitive build week and delivery date of your new car until after the 17th of January"

I hope this is helpful info to others on the waiting list. Does anyone else have delivery updates?

You guys are lucky, we were supposed to have them last summer, still waiting for the first one to show up in the US. :(
Ordered a 1.5 TSi Elegance, just awaiting build date, which I understand might be a while due to WLTP
