A sub 4.0 second Arteon

The same apprentice team from Volkswagen Australia that created a race ready Amarok, will be developing a special one off Arteon. The goal is for them to produce a model capable of doing a 0-60 sprint in less than four seconds for the 2019 World Time Attack Challenge in Sydney. This special Arteon will have a bespoke suspension, a stage 3 tune from Harding Performance, better brakes and a roll cage. This event is set to kick off on October 12th, so we'll have to wait and see what this team delivers.

Would love to see a proper R variant come out of this. Didn't expect to see it on the T-Roc before appearing here.
The link above doesn't work for some reason but if you have a look on YouTube and search under these two titles it will show you the car .

2) ART3on
Really impressive what this team of apprentices continues to produce. Got another video which gives us a first look at how the special project drives. Sounds like a completely different car.
At least there is a solid foundation here for VW to work from should they ever decide to explore a proper performance variant. But with the recent detunes we're seeing on GTI's and even the Golf R, I wonder how realistic that is. Their last car offered with the VR6 (the new Passat GT) has already been discontinued.
