Similar to the well known Wörthersee VW meet in Europe, its American counterpart, SoWo, is an event where Volkswagen enthusiasts congregate to show off their customized vehicles and one notable attendee is VW themselves. Not to appear empty handed, VW brought along a few custom vehicles to show off including the Arteon R-Line Highlight.
Aptly named, this unique concept is wrapped in what autoblog calls, an eye blinding shade of fluorescent yellow-green. One of the most lightly modified car of VW's lineup, the Arteon R-Line Highlight features only two other changes in addition to the bold color choice; a set of bespoke Vossen 20x9.5-inch Hybrid Forged HF-2 wheels and a prototype coil-over suspension setup from H&R Springs. Said setup brings the Arteon concept almost three inches closer to the ground.
TopSpeed claims the Highlight concept was designed to explore the Arteon's "potential to make a statement on the show field." With such a stark contract between its body and wheels, VW seems to achieved that goal.
Shame nothing was done to the R-Line's 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine. It remains the same with an output of 276 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
If this does tickle your mod senses, then purchase your own Arteon R-Line when it goes on sale this fall and wrap it in whatever color your heart desires.
