With the Arteon arriving on US shores soon thought it would be worthwhile to mention the claimed mpg numbers. The 2.0l turbocharged FWD model has been set a 22/31/25 city/highway/combined and the AWD model claims 20/27/23. For comparisons sake these numbers are lower than that of the new Audi A5 Sportback which is similar in size and powered by the same engine (23/34/27).

So far I have seen some real world gas mileage reports.
One on fuelly.com is showing an average rating of 31.2 MPG's which I think is great considering what the EPA city and highway mileage rating is at. This comes from two Arteon's that together racked up 17k miles.

I have the 2.0l AWD and I'm getting 26/35/31 mpg . I've only done 4600 km's so far so I'm expecting that to improve a little bit .
