Tuned Volkswagen Arteon Rendering

Recently launched, it’s only a matter of time until tuners get their hands on a Volkswagen Arteon and make it their own. Until then, we’ll have to satisfy our modification needs with these renderings by Zoki Nanco on Behance.

Perhaps due to its slammed suspension, the rendered Arteon looks to have beefier front and rear bumpers along with a set of concave wheels and new tires. The body seems to have been painted a pearl white colors with black/grey trim instead of chrome.

Looking at the sporty grille and unique front air intakes, we can safely assume that what we’re seeing is the Arteon R-Line. Of course the 'R' badge is a good indicator as well. Compared to the other trims, the R-Line version will be equipped with premium features including a leather clad sports steering wheel, Alcantara upholstered heated seats chrome-plated tailpipes and more.

Powering the Arteon R-Line is most likely a 2.0-litre TSI which VW will be offered in two states of tune; 187hp (190PS) and 276hp (280PS). But wouldn’t it be great if a 2.0-liter turbo'd four-pot is hiding under that bonnet? Carscoops certainly thinks so, more specifically the on in VW's facelifted Golf R, which is cranking out 310PS (306hp) and 400Nm (295lb-ft) of torque with a 0 to 100km/h (62mph) time of just 4.6 seconds.

Slamming a car like that can really make a world of a difference on how the rest of it looks. I actually thought there was some sort of body modifications involved but after looking at other photos, it's just the suspension and wheel change along with some accent differences. Not really my cup of tea, but who doesn't like air ride right ?

I hate it when cars are slammed so close to the ground, to the point where part of the wheel goes missing into the wheel well. Just reducing the amount of travel available to you, fine if its a track car but not good for a daily driver.

If that is in fact lowered on coilovers, I would absolutely despise it because functionality is completely thrown out of the window. I think when people do that, they really have some sort of screw loose up there. When driving becomes a huge pain and inconvenience, you have a problem.

Its just a rendering. Arteon is not a cheap car and anyone buying these will have the money to at the very least buy air bag coilovers to achieve this look and have all the practicality any owner would want. But the ground clearance seen here if static can get you by in most cities.

A lot of people, even if they have the money, opt for coilovers over air suspension. Those are the same guys that say "bags are for groceries" and the likes lmao.
